Pinfold Cottage offers high grade holiday accommodation within a delightful, detached stone-built holiday cottage with a welcoming and warm atmosphere throughout. Pinfold Cottage sleeps two and offers cottage character including exposed timber beams, a gritstone fireplace with wood-burning stove, vaulted ceilings, and terrace. Nestled in a small village within the heart of the Peak District National Park.

Pinfold Cottage is in a quiet village, surrounded by Peak District hills and dales, and just a short drive to Bakewell, Chatsworth, Matlock, many villages and attractions.
The holiday cottage has free wifi, a king-sized bed, wood-burning stove, washing machine/dryer, ensuite shower room, downstairs cloakroom, front garden and rear terrace.
Best known as walking country, Elton's surrounding area offers a spectacular variety of scenery and walks to be explored - from steep sided limestone dales to the dramatic high moorlands. There is something for everyone - individuals, families and groups - whether you want a challenging hike or a short stroll.
There are miles of quiet country lanes and trails to discover by bike and offers a fun way to explore and see the stunning countryside. The network of cycling trails is ideal for family cycling and suited to all ages and abilities. For experienced mountain bikers, the remote moorland bridleways can provide more of a challenge.
Elton is near some of the most popular rock climbing routes in Europe. Many world-class climbers live in and around the area, sharpening their skills on its challenging cliffs, edges and boulders. Regardless of whether you are an enthusiastic beginner or world-class athlete, there are plenty of crags for you to discover.
The Duke of York pub, Elton, is a unique, quirky and award winning pub and is open daily in the evenings. A lovely little quarry-tiled back tap room with coal fire offers a cosy atmosphere, while the two front rooms offer a private parlour with piano and big table, the other with pool, darts, dominoes and friendly chatty locals.
Chatsworth, the ancestral home of the Duke of Devonshire, is just eight miles from Pinfold Cottage, where you can explore the impressive gardens, the house (when open) or spot deer and picnic in the park. And we recommend a visit to the Chatsworth Farm Shop too!
Known for its delicious Pudding (not tart!), Bakewell has many more tempting treats to offer - ranging from shopping and specialist markets to relaxing strolls and special events. Set on the banks of the river Wye, it is the biggest town in the Peak District National Park.

Escape to the Peak District to relax or to focus - Pinfold Cottage is an ideal place to write, read, and unwind - either solo or a couple.
Pinfold Cottage, Elton, is a great place from which to go walking and hiking in the Peak District. The Limestone Way goes through Elton itself; The Monsal Trail is a short distance away; and their are walks, trails, hills and dales to explore - right from the front door, or a short drive or bus ride away.
